ABOUT FCDF

Founded in September 1980, the Fredericktown Community Development Foundation (FCDF) was established to support the evolving needs of our community. While its original focus centered on economic development, FCDF has expanded its mission significantly over the years.

Key accomplishments include raising funds for the new public library in 1995 and securing property for the police station. Beyond these milestones, FCDF has organized job fairs, hosted community-wide events, and launched public awareness campaigns to address various local needs. The foundation also provides educational programs designed to help local business owners navigate the challenges of running successful enterprises.

Through these efforts, FCDF continues to fulfill its mission of enhancing the quality of life for residents and businesses by fostering opportunities for growth, learning, and community engagement. Since its inception, the foundation has experienced remarkable growth and remains dedicated to enriching the Fredericktown community.

With the commitment of its dedicated members and volunteers, the Fredericktown Community Development Foundation (FCDF) remains focused on positioning our strong, close-knit community for lasting sustainability, growth, and prosperity. Beyond economic development, FCDF plays a key role in shaping Fredericktown’s image for residents, businesses, visitors, and investors.

Through community-wide events, social media, targeted marketing campaigns, and outreach programs, we highlight Fredericktown’s strengths while identifying opportunities for improvement. This visibility has been instrumental in securing funding and resources to support vital projects that drive our community’s continued success.

FCDF also advocates beyond our town’s borders to raise awareness about Fredericktown’s amenities and attractions, helping to boost tourism and regional engagement. Thanks to these ongoing efforts, Fredericktown is thriving and poised for a vibrant future.

Since its inception, the Fredericktown Community Development Foundation (FCDF) has experienced significant growth and positive transformation. In 2020, during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, FCDF transitioned into a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, enhancing its ability to serve and support the Fredericktown community more effectively.

A notable milestone came in April 2021 with the launch of the first edition of 43019 Magazine. This widely acclaimed publication features a community calendar, school and local news updates, a business directory, business spotlights, and a rich selection of informative and historical articles. The magazine quickly became one of FCDF’s most popular and financially successful initiatives.

Beyond the magazine, FCDF has played a key role in major community projects such as the Streetscape Project, the Facade Matching Grant Program, and the new banner program. Additionally, FCDF organizes and supports numerous community events, including the Fredericktown Farmer’s Market, First Saturday Vendor Markets, Christmas in July, and the Harvest Festival.

FCDF remains dedicated to fostering community growth, engagement, and pride through its diverse initiatives and ongoing commitment to Fredericktown’s development.
